Peace & Blessings HOB Family. It is with a heavy heart & a 🚨Trigger Warning 🚨 that I come to you today. On March 8th I received a call that one of our former DV Safe House residents, Markayla, & her 2 children had been missing since March 3rd. Family & friends had not heard from her at all & this was very out of character for her.
Over the weekend I was informed that the remains of Markayla (22), Miracle (4), & Messiah (7 months) were discovered in an apartment complex in Charlotte, NC. Beautiful lives taken way too soon. Thankfully the suspect, Benjamin Taylor was arrested in California near the Mexican border.
It's cases like this that remind us why we do what we do with the Safe House & New Eden. Our hearts go out to Kayla's family & we have decided that all HOB proceeds this week, 100% of a sessions, bundles, & packages, will go to them for funeral costs & other expenses.
